Founder and Managing Director

Earthcraft was founded by Richard John Day MI Hort, the son of a Derbyshire farmer. Richard has over 20 years experience working in horticultural, garden and landscape design and construction. Richard's experience after studying at Broomfield college of horticulture and Pershore college of horticulture, was initially in a nursery. Following this he became Assistant plant manager at Chatsworth garden centre on the Royal Estate of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. In London Richard managed Fulham Palace garden centre.

Richard has contributed to the book "Container gardening for all seasons" produced by the Readers Digest.

Design consultant

Patricia de la Pommeray has longstanding interest in interior and exterior design and has applied this to numerous homes. Her current studies are aimed at developing this creative capability with a structured approach to aesthetics with respect to gardening and landcape design. Patricia has been responsible for design consultancy work on small open spaces.

Prior to a change of career Patricia worked in investment banking for Credit Suisse in London. Patricia Graduated with a BA Hons. in Economics and Business, and is fluent in English and French.

At present Patricia is a graduate of The English School of Gardening in London.

Earthcraft is a dynamic and professional garden design and build company, able to take on any project of any size or scope.
